Our story

The museum's collections have been collected over the last 40+ years and carefully curated to create the largest jewelry making archive in the world.

Past

The Providence Jewelry Museum is currently housed at The Technic Campus in Cranston, Rhode Island, generously donated and supported by The Weisberg Family. For the last 40 years, a team of volunteers have been seeking a permanent location for the collection in Providence.

Present

We are currently asking for donations to help permanently relocate the museum into The Palmer House, a historic building in the heart of the Providence Jewelry District.

Future

Our hope is for the museum to find a permanent home so locals, tourists, students, and educators can enjoy the rich history of Providence’s jeweled past. We want to honor and continue our original mission to be a center of jewelry making history, education and tourism.
